Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G Renders Surface, Hands-on Images Leaked Again

  • Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G renders as well as a few alleged hands-on images have been leaked. The renders have been shared by tipster Evan Blass, and the hands-on pictures have been posted by a publication.     The Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G is said to be a part of the company's new smartphone lineup in the Redmi series. It is expected to feature a 6.39-inch display with a resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The handset is also said to feature a triple-rear camera setup as well as a rear-facing fingerprint sensor.

    The Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 710 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage space. The smartphone will run Android Pie out-of-the-box but might receive an upgrade to Android Q later on.

    The phone will be backed by a 3,000mAh battery.

    It is expected to be launched in China in the first quarter of next year.

    The alleged hands-on images, shared by passionategeekz, show a Black colour phone that has the same front and back panel design as the images by Evan Blass. The publication also shows an image of the retail box.

    The Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 was launched in September 2018.

It will also feature dual rear cameras as well as face unlock technology for enhanced security features for users in China and other markets where facial recognition software are not yet supported or legalised such as Europe or US states like Florida where it has been banned due

    to privacy concerns.

    The company's first smart speaker, the Mi Smart Speaker (Mi AI Speaker) was launched in China in November 2017. The AI speaker features a 3W speaker and is powered by a 4,000mAh battery which supports Quick Charge 2.0 technology. It also features support for Google Assistant and other virtual assistants such as Alexa, Cortana, Baidu's DuerOS, IFTTT and XiaoMi Voice Control. The speaker can also be connected to other Android devices via Bluetooth to play music or stream content from those devices as well as make calls or perform other actions that are supported by the connected apps on both devices. The Mi Smart Speaker is priced at ¥799 (~$120).

    The company's first smartwatch was the Xiaomi Mi Band 1S (which is also the first wearable device from Xiaomi). It was launched in China in April 2015 with an initial price tag of ¥199 (~$30). It runs on Google's Android Wear platform and features support for third-party apps including WeChat Pay, Alipay, Weibo and Tencent Games.
