Ashley Young says Gareth Southgate and Harry Maguire deserve more respect from the England fans ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Young said the criticism Southgate has received is 'bulls**t' as he believes England have a chance of 'winning' the World Cup under the Three Lions boss, who has come under pressure following his side's poor run of form heading into the tournament.
The Aston Villa full-back also described the criticism Maguire has received as 'borderline bullying' but insisted the United defender could 'deal with it' as he has a 'strong character'.
Young went on to discuss Maguire and the frosty relationship he has with the England fans after failing to perform at Manchester United.
Maguire has been booed on several occasions, the most recent example coming when the United defender's name was read out over the tannoy ahead of England's clash with Germany at Wembley in September.
Maguire and the rest of the England squad arrived in Qatar on Tuesday ahead of their opening game against Iran on Monday.
