  For the first time, players will have the chance to unlock many innovative Rune Words in the Ladder system! For clarity, they are Rune Words have never existed in the game before, and they will not be accessible in non-Ladder play , as was the case with the previous set of ladder-only Rune Words in the original Diablo II experience. The end of the Ladder season players who can successfully make these Rune Words will have their Ladder characters transferred to an "non-Ladder" variation of the game. Then at the beginning of another Ladder season, players will make a new Ladder character and begin the game all with a new character to earn rewards.

Many players like the Desert Mercenary, and we want to give more reasons to utilize the three other mercenaries.
