ZEISS is increasing the number of high-accuracy MICURA CMM mode

  • The MICURA CMM from ZEISS Industrial Metrology, which features active scanning and submicron accuracy, is now available in a model that has an even wider measuring range. This makes it an excellent choice for measuring small, intricate parts. This new MICURA model will be presented for the first time by ZEISS at IMTS (International Manufacturing Technology Show), which will take place in Chicago from September 10-13, 2018. The new system has a measuring range that is 500 millimeters longer, 700 millimeters wider, and 500 millimeters higher than the previous one, and it also has a machine-mounted controller, which reduces the amount of floor space required.

Active scanning sensors of either the VAST XT gold or the VAST XTR gold variety are included with every ZEISS MICURA purchase. Because of its speed and precision, it is an invaluable inspection solution for optical and electronic components, as well as medical devices and implants. The VAST XT gold sensor enables high-speed scanning with up to 200 measurement points per second, making it ideal for industrial applications. The VAST XTR gold sensor works best with features that have an angle to them. Because of the integrated swivel joint, the stylus system is able to turn as far as possible in increments of 15 degrees, which ensures that the stylus is always positioned in the direction of the feature that is being measured. This results in a reduction in the number of stylus systems and modifications that are necessary, and it also reduces the amount of time that is spent using a rotary table.

ZEISS MICURA can be purchased with the user-friendly CALYPSO metrology software, which is compatible with all other ZEISS systems. This includes a broad and growing portfolio of coordinate measuring machines, optical systems, CMM Inspection Companies computed tomography machines, and other types of equipment.

Throughout the course of the week, there will be free learning sessions held at the main ZEISS booth located in the East Building at number 135502 on the ZEISS MICURA and other ZEISS systems. Every person who stops by the booth has the opportunity to sign up for a drawing to win ZEISS merchandise. Visit www. zeiss. com/imts-2018 to obtain additional information and to sign up.

Don't forget to stop by the other ZEISS booths while you're at IMTS. You can find ZEISS X-Ray Solutions in the East Building at booth 135655, and the Smartforce Student Summit in the North Building at booth 215406.

Showcase For The Aberlink CMM Range In The USA

Masters Precision Inc., Aberlink's exclusive American importer and an ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited company, has just opened a brand new, technology-rich and fully equipped CMM and metrology showroom near Chicago, Illinois. This is a direct result of many years of consistent and remarkable growth. The significance of the United States market was recognized by Masters Precision and Aberlink when they decided to make this sizeable investment.

A significant amount of interest in Aberlink's ground-breaking CMMs, measurement software, and vision machines has generated a growing demand for customer demonstrations across the United States, and the primary objective of this contemporary showroom is to satisfy that demand.

In addition, Masters Precision is able to offer a diverse range of services in support of the CMMs and other measurement solutions. These services include customer training, part programming, and contract inspection, and there are plans to add reverse engineering and 3D printing facilities at a later date.

Master Precision is a supplier of mills, lathes, and tooling that was established in 1982. For the past 38 years, the company has been providing support to all areas of industry and manufacturing across the globe.

However, due to an acquisition made by a company that specializes in CMM servicing in 2007, the company's primary focus shifted from that of a manufacturing distributor to that of a quality and inspection sales organization that offers precision at reasonable prices.

After only three short years, in 2010, cmm services Masters became aware of the established global reputation that Aberlink had earned, and at that time they began concentrating their collective efforts towards selling the acclaimed range of innovative, user friendly, and reasonably priced CMMs and metrology products manufactured by the UK company Aberlink.

Aberlink is the largest CMM manufacturer that is privately owned in the United Kingdom. The company's comprehensive range includes forty distinct CNC and manual CMM models. These models enable precise measurement of components as small as one millimeter all the way up to parts that are over three meters long and can weigh up to six tons.
