The 'New World' patch includes the Void Gauntlet as well as new

  • The most recent New World patch has added a new Void Gauntlet weapon, as well as new enemies and changes to the world of Aeternum, among other things.

With the introduction of the Void Gauntlet, a new type of weapon that scales with intelligence and focus, the MMO has gained a significant amount of new content. According to the patch notes, the Void Gauntlet is best used as a "magical damage/support hybrid weapon," and it can be particularly effective when used in conjunction with the Life Staff.

The Void Gauntlet comes with two weapon mastery trees, Annihilation and Decay, which can be used to customize your weapons. While Annihilation is more focused on the damage side of the weapon, the Decay tree is more focused on the support side of the weapon.

With the Varangian Knights, a slew of new enemies having arrived in the MMO, it's likely that New World's most recent weapon will come in handy when dealing with them. This is a group of invading invaders who are "currently raiding south-eastern Aeternum," and there are four different types of enemies in the faction.

Outside of combat, players will notice that they are able to move around much more quickly in the New World. In addition, players who have enabled PvP will receive a 10% luck bonus and a 30% luck bonus when gathering. Traveling on roads will now provide an additional 10% movement speed bonus.

Control Points, Intercept, and War Camp Loot are three new PvP faction missions that have been added to the game. Several aspects of the primary quest line have also been altered "in order to improve the player experience," with the quests now including "wave encounters, destructible objects, and proximity tracking nodes," among other things.

All of this new content is accompanied by a long list of bug fixes and balance changes that have been implemented

    1.  Some notable changes include assisting stuck enemies to escape their environments, preventing them from being killed by players who were pushing them out of bounds, and more

    2.  The full list of changes can be found in the New World patch notes
