First, note that being a level five mask, you will have to be at level 60 before you can equip it. This particular piece is modeled after the iconic mask with a bird-like beak that has protected plague doctors from diseases like the Black Death back in the Middle Ages of Europe.
To get your hands on the Plague Doctor Mask, you need to be in the Syndicate Faction and have reached the maximum Rank of Alchemist. Once you’ve reached the cap, speak to a Syndicate representative in a Settlement and open up the Armory. Here, you can buy the mask, but you’ll need 30,000 Syndicate Tokens and 800 New World Gold Coins to do so.
The mask isn’t the only Plague Doctor armor in New World: there’s also Robes, Gloves, Boots, and Pants, all of which are obtained in the Syndicate Armory.

Plague Doctor Gloves: 22,500 tokens, 600 coins
Plague Doctor Boots: 15,000 tokens, 500 coins
Plague Doctor Pants: 37,500 tokens, 1,000 coins
The set provides corruption and physical damage resistance, a small cooldown reduction, and buff to Focus and Intelligence, making it fit in many meta builds. Each piece has a gem slot and has +22 Constitution, +13 Corruption Resistance, and reduces maximum cooldowns by 2.6%. It is no wonder that many New World players would love to get the Plague Doctor set.
